Dr. John Mann
Professor John Mann, Ph.D., is an applied economist with the Center for Economic Analysis at Michigan State University and part of the faculty in the Agricultural, Food, and Resources Economics Department. His work includes providing economic impact and income analyses, small business coaching and entrepreneur assessments, and research and leadership on regional economics and firm innovations to regional and national stakeholders. Professor Mann is part of multiple national research, extension, and outreach teams, and leads the “Launching Innovations from the University Starting Gate” project. Professor Mann is also part of a national team of experts working to improve the pipeline of innovative firms pursuing Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants. Professor Mann’s expertise includes a wide range of topics on innovations, small businesses, regional economics, and the SBIR program. Additionally, Professor Mann teaches finance and marketing courses at Michigan State University.
